Halloween and Beauty trend alert!

Sorry for the long delay in posts I've basically been uninspired, lazy, tied up with work and other bits and bobs that have interfered, so so so sorry!

But I hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween :) I went as a Maleficent inspired character thing :p

The photo hasn't really justified the colours of my make up, however I basically used my skin base 2.0 for my all over foundation. I then used my bobbi brown blusher brush to lightly distribute Illamasqua's stalk eyeshadow to lightly contour my cheek bones and temples, I then went over the contours more heavily to create depth and dimension.

For my eyes for the Lid I used MUA in shade 9 which is a lovely pearl lime. I then added the Illamasqua powder eyeshadow in stalk to the outer corner of my eye to create dimension to the crease. For the crease I used two colours, Beauty Marked and Hepcat; both by mac. Hepcat is lovely purple with red undertones, and beauty marked is a black with purple glitter. Then for my eyebrows I simply used a bourjois liquid eyeliner using a MAC 266 angled eye brush to create sharp and defined lines.

As for my lips i used MAC's lipstick in lady danger, I have to say I found this lipstick very dry however it lasted forever, until It somehow got wiped off ;)...

Anywaysssssss onto the AUTUMN/ WINTER beauty trend i've kind of gathered from recent fashion shows.

Red Lips
I am obsessed with red lips so I love the fact that red lips are not going anywhere this season, the only update this time around is a palette that's surprisingly more bright, bold and electrically charged than the winter hues we're used to seeing on the runway. FashionistA Double Take Longwear lipstick in shade 'Coral'-£6 is the perfect shade for this trend.
Minimal Make Up & Real Skin.
There's always space for minimalist make-up, and a lot of the make-up artists and designer have been showing minimal wearable make-up each season lately. Standing in the face of winter's big colour statement comes that cool, pretty healthy glow that trips off the runway straight into real life effortlessly. The catwalk also showed a 'real people' feel matched with the bare faced creating invisible bases. But don't be fooled, this takes work so spend extra time prepping, hydrating and correcting for flawless make-up.
Here are my top tips to create a Minimal Make-up and Real skin look this winter:
Natural beauty: Keep eyes soft and light
A delicate peachy shade applied lightly into the crease will help complete the minimal makeup look. Use a brush that is not too dense or it'll deposit too much product. Finish with a mascara that provides definition (I recommend Look Beauty Stretch factor) and curl your lashes first to open up your eyes subtly.
Natural beauty: It all starts with great skin
Taking care of your skin is first and foremost -- and this is especially important now with the season changing. I recommend using an oil-based moisturiser as we transition into colder weather. Look for ones containing almond oil, avocado and primrose, for example, which will create a protective layer on the skin. I suggest Origins A perfect World- SPF 25.
