Interesting insight into the Hobbit's make up!

Tonight I went to see the Hobbit, it was really good however I thought the ending was let down, even though I know it was a cling hanger. So no Haters here, I do not post to be bashed by LOTR fanillas! So go away.

Anywayssss after doing a little research I found out an interesting tip on the costume and make up that the actors go through!

The make up artists paint ( with make up ) the actors redder than what their skin colour should be, this is because the lighting on the set is too yellow to create a natural skin colour, as they all appear too yellow without the red make up. Like homer simpson I'm guessing. Interesting Huh!? I'd guess they'd look like angry Hobbits running around the set, now that would be fun!

And another thing that surprised me was that Gandalf's ( Iain McKellen ) eyebrows aren't even his own, nor is his nose! Talk about affordable plastic surgery and hair growth! When I'm bald ill be having some of that! I knew he wore a wig on his head, but not on his eyebrows!

Maybe I shouldn't be in charge of his future make up...
