I find looking at make up brushes daunting yet exciting, daunting because I know i'll want every single one of them. P.s. I am a massive brush hoarder.
You can get make up brushes from almost any store, and they range in quality. Obviously the ones you pay a pound for may not be the best... well until now.
I'm going to discuss brushes which I know of and have used myself, hopefully this will help anyone decide :)!
I'm going to start off with the value for money brushes, and work my way up to more high end make up brushes. Some cheaper brushes are really good, but it's just finding them!
MUA
MUA do a range of brushes, and they range from £1.50 - £5.00. I haven't tried any of these yet, but I have heard some really good reviews and comments from Make Up artists and consumers.
£1-£2 - Eyeshadow Brushes
£2-£3 - Face Brushes, which include foundation brushes and duo fibre brushes
£3+ - Powder Brush and a Kabuki Brush (£5)

E.L.F - (Eyes, Lips, Face)
I really like the majority of elf brushes. I purchased a large collection of their studio brushes around a year ago and they still feel as soft as when I first got them! These brushes are normally on some kind of special offer, such as buy one get one free or get a certain percentage off.
I really liked the studio range, especially the duo fibre inspired brush. I found that for £3.75 this was well worth the money! It doesn't shed either, however I did drop it and the head came off but I glued it back together.
The majority of eyeshadow brushes are worth £3.75, however I've noticed that my blending brush seems to be alot less dense than when I first got it. But my Eyeshadow C brush, small precision brush and my angled brushes are perfect, I couldn't fault them!
E.L.F do other ranges as well as their Studio range, such as their Mineral brush line and their Essential brushes. I haven't tried the mineral but I bought some essential brushes for my mam, and I've noticed that they feel alot harsher on the skin than the studio line do.

Crown Brushes
I live for Crown brushes, their brushes are inexpensive and the quality is out of this world! I'm sure the company who make crown brushes also make or produce MAC brushes.
But I can't fault any of their brushes and I highly recommend their brushes, especially their new infinity range!

Coastal Scents
Some people might be put off by their other products like their 122 palette (which is fantastic) or by the fact that they sell 22 brushes for £34.50. Well their 22 set of brushes is amazing, you get a range of brushes that come in different fibres. Some are synethetic and others are real hair. The beauty of this set is that they come in a range of brushes. They range from Face and Powder brushes to eyeshadow and lip brushes. The eyeshadow and face brushes are probably the best that come in this set. You get a selection of blending and application eyeshadow brushes, that make it a joy to put on your eye make up!

Illamasqua
I think everyone of my readers knows that I love the British Make up brand Illamasqua. Well I assure you that my review isn't biased as their products are genuinely little pieces of perfections!
They currently only do 12 brushes with one brush set. I am a tiny bit disappointed that they don't have more brushes, but I'm sure they'll release more! But none the less the brushes they do have are amazing!
1. Fine eyeliner brush - £19.00
If you want precise eyeliner, then this is the brush for you. This brush is pixel pointed, the brush is so fine. Illamasqua have ensured to make everyone of their brushes are as soft as a babies bottom, and boy this brush is softer than soft!
2. Angled Brush - £19.00
This brush is great for those defined brows, by using Illamasquas sealing gel and brow cake you are set to go to create perfectly defined brows! If you aren't a one for filling your brows, then this diverse brush is still a steal! The brushes are so dense that it creates flawless eyeliner lines.
3. Eyeshadow Brush - £19
I can't fault this brush, it is amazing at packing on colour!
4. Highlighter Brush - £24
I know some people will probably disagree with me here, but it works for me and my clients. I love this brush for creating a flawless foundation base. It works especially well with cream and liquid foundations.
On the other hand, this brush can also be used for highlighting (as the title says) and even contouring!

M.A.C
I think everyone knows what M.A.C is. Their extensive brush range is probably one of the best I've seen, and their quality is amazing! Yes I have seen a few MAC brushes where I think 'What's the point' but their main brushes are amazing.
M.A.C brushes range from £8 right up to £38 for face and powder brushes. M.A.C brushes are defined by numbers for example...
if the brush starts with a
1 - it is a face brush
2 - it is an eye brush
3 - it is a lip brush.
I currently only have several MAC brushes but I will be purchasing more, the brushes I have are :-
#239 - £19 - Renown for it's amazing job at packing on colour, this brush is a must have if you want an all around eyeshadow brush, as it also gives you the option of blending, however there are brushes for blending!
#222 - This is my blending brush, but sadly it is discontinued, but if you are looking for a similar brush then I'd probably go with the 217 or the 224
#208 - £16 - I really like this angled brush, it can be used for both brows and eyeliner. It is a very small angle brush for those precise lines.
#210 - £16 - Another precise eyeliner brush, this is such a small and 'pretty' brush. The actual brush is so small it is perfect for drawing perfect precise winged looks.
#234 - This brush was part of the Semi - Precious collection last year, they have rereleased two of their limited edition brushes from that collection, but they havent with this one and I don't know why! I love this brush! It is a duo fibre brush, it has synthetic and real hair. The syn. hair is perfect for applying powder products onto the lid, and the real hair is perfect for applying cream products and flawlessly blending powder or cream eyeshadows.
#109 - £26 - I love this brush, and I'm really glad I bought it! For christmas I was given the large make up bag, and I thought it was too big so I returned it for the smaller version and I also put the extra money towards this brush! This is like a denser version of Illamasqua's highlighter brush, but I'd say I preferred this one because it's amazing at contouring, it fits under my cheek bone perfectly!
#187 - £32.50 - This brush is a well known face perfecter! It blends and applies your foundation flawlessly! I would stay away from the travel sized brushes as they are known to shed! :( boo.
