Brow Pencils - From High end to dirt Cheap.

I've certainly gone through my crazy brow phase where I have bleached, shaved half of my brow off and ultimately shaved my whole brow off! Yes crazy I know. But I suppose that's how much I enjoyed drawing them back on.

I have had many pencils from Tom Ford to Mac to MUA - and honestly I suppose this is a post to help me and you figure out which one I like the best.

Mirror mirror on the wall, lets start off with the cheapest of them all...

NYC Eye/ Brow Pencil in Taupe - £1.49
I actually don't mind this little cheap beauty, and for every day use it definitely comes to handy!
This pencil is perfect as it is non waxy and it lasts all day - I used to use this to draw my brows on when I had none, because using MAC brow pencils turned out to be too expensive to be using every day!

As you can see I have real brows now *haha*, I first brush my brows up and then define the line underneath to create a prominent shape. I then brush my brows down and create the shape on the top and then fill them in. I then use the real techniques brow brush to brush the pencil through my brows. I then use an eyeshadow of a similar shade to set the pencil and blend it out towards the bridge of the nose so they don't look too 'artificial. A brow palette I highly recommend is the Naked BASICS Palette as  you can use it for your eyes and brows!

You do have the option to use a clear brow gel to set the shadow and pencil and keep them in place, however I have ran out of mine and I've just reordered from Illamasqua.

MUA Luxe Power Brow - Dark Brown - £3
My good friend Emily recommended this and boy is this a great little steal! At £3 it is more expensive than we're used to paying at MUA however it is apart of the new 'Luxe' line, which is MUAs way of saying look we're going up market now... anyways they've obviously invested a bit more money into their products to make them worth it.

I follow the same steps as my one brow tut. above, however I feel that the point on this pencil is better and more precise than the NYC brow pencils. The MUA Power Brow liner reminds me of a few upmarket Brow Pencils, such as the Anastasia BH brow wiz.

The Luxe Power Brow pencil comes with two ends, the pencil and the highlighter on the opposite end. I wouldn't bother with the other end too much, however putting it on the inner corner of your eyes looks stunning! However the pencil alone is worth £3!

Below is my brow using the Power Brow.

MAC Eyebrow Pencil - £13
I've used MAC Eyebrows pencils for a few years now, and I must say they have never failed me, and they last aaaaaaages. When I used to use them to draw my whole eyebrow on I used it from July right up until November - and I used to draw them on everyday! The only thing is it is a large jump from £3 to £13 - but I've only ever used these pencils I'm blogging about in this post. And I must say even in my kit this pencil is a must have. It's not cheap, but it's definitely not the most expensive.

The great thing about this pencil is that it's
A. So thin you can draw in hairs -the detail is incredible.
B. It's self sharpening.
C. When you're finished you can Back 2 MAC it for a free lipstick yayyy!!!

TOM FORD - Brow Sculptor - £34
Ouch! My bank screams at this brow pencil, however it is beautiful! I'll keep this one short and sweet with a little list of pros and cons...

Pros :-
1. Creates a very natural brow without looking fake at all.
2. Lasts all day and Doesn't bleed or smudge.
3. The spoolie on the opposite end is amazing, and brushes brow with one swipe of the brush.
4. The Pencil has a clever sharpening mechanism that keeps the point super sharp!

Cons :-
1. It's Really REALLY REALLY expensive for a brow pencil, however in my opinion it is worth it.
2. It's sold in Limited places - You can get it in Selfridges, I want to say Harrods? and Fenwicks.
