Louise Gray is an up and coming fashion designer in London, who has inspired topshop to create a collection of make up products that reflect her work. Personally I think her work is innovative and fresh, but it is the promotional images that tickle my fancy. I love how the photographer has used the seasonal trends of pastel colours in combination with the exquisite styling of the models present in the frame. I love the contrast between the bold and vibrant colours of the models make up in combination with the washed out colours of the back ground, and the metallic colours of the models jumper.
Today I was in Newcastle looking for more jeans, not for me this time, but for my friend! He has an interview at Lush on Monday I think, and I wish him the very best! I think he would be perfect for the job, especially the way he talks about the products, ( the new make up range in particular ) ... anyways, being a makeup whore like I am, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
I have to say I am not a fan of this collection, however I tried a few pieces out and they seem okay, however I wouldn't buy them, because when am I going to use glittery royal blue eyeliner? NEVER! Unless I go all sailor on you's, but thats likely to be never as I get sea sick HA!
This is the pathetic swatch I got in the shop, however I didn't want to paint my hand blue because this little demon is a right mother of all mary to get off! Which is good!
This Eyeliner retails in the stores for £8, would I buy it? No I would't, MUA do a similar one that's almost the same for a £1.
I then went onto trying the nail polishes, and unfortunately I don't have any swatches for these bad boys :( however I can still show you pretty pictures and tell you the reasons why I'm in two minds whether I would purchase them.
The first one is Nails In Junk Yard
This is the first one that I tried, and it is a top coat for on top of another Nail Polish, I only tried it on my bare nail. It is a beautiful top coat and I love the sparkles and glitter, OBVIOUSLY!
But for £6.50, would I buy it? Probably not because I wouldn't wear it everyday as I think it's unconventional for an everyday use. However I do think it is pretty, and I would definitely buy it as a present for someone :)
These are the only two products that I have tried unfortunately, as I was in a rush, however if I do try more I will post :) <33
