Bringing back the dead are we Pugh?

Picture this, it's the end of the world and all we have left are plastic bags, fabric... and lets not forget Pugh women.

Pu·gh·Wo·man

Noun
  1. A woman who has been transformed from your average day Jane, to a Duchess of the night, simply by wearing clothes by Gareth Pugh.

Here we see the models transform from something that looks so extravagant with the endless amounts of ruffles made from delicate plastic. I can only imagine how delicate the pieces that include the plastic like material are, but how fantastic do they look? These pieces look as if Elizabeth the first mated with a Russian Princess, and this is the outcome - A divine pale skinned being dressed head to toe in a gothic looking garment.

We then see Pugh accent his pieces with navy. I really like how Pugh has started to add tiny bits of colour into his collections, I think that these work well with the other pieces whilst making a clever and strong contrast as the colour stands out from the monochromatic scheme of the other pieces, whilst also keeping to his trademark style.

The next three pieces are probably what Pugh is best known for, his structures and flattering pieces that accentuate the female figure. I love the sharp folds in the fabric, and the strong contrasts against the different textures that the different fabrics create. I think this also creates a strong distinction between the sharp and structured lines of these clothing, to the soft and more feminine like figures that are in the early part of the show and his last collection.

The last pieces of his collection we see Pugh experimenting with tree like graphics printed onto the clothes. I think that this works well with the theme as a hole, as there is something almost sinister that runs throughout the whole of the show. And I think it compliments the make up as well.

If I had to die *touch wood I don't* then these are the outfits I would like to be buried in and be resurrected to torment the world as a Pugh creation.

Celebrity Guest... Cher!?!!

Do you see her in Gareth Pugh??
