*Note this isn't steps on how to get a pro card, if you just 'LOVE' make up. This is a program for professionals and students who aspire and are working as a make up artist, beautician, photographers, stylist ... the list goes on :P*
Step 1
Download the application form that suits your status, for example there's a student application and an 'everything else' application. I downloaded the general application form and applied for the make up artist pro card. (They all look alike the cards)
Step 2
Supply the correct information and evidence. *You must supply a copy of your identification, this can be a passport or driving license*, I then supplied my business card, stating that I am a freelance make up artist, a composite card, which is like an postcard business card, it includes photographs of your work, I then supplied a contract between a client and myself.
Step 3
Send it off... wait wait wait
Step 4
You get an email stating you have been successful ( well I did ) and if you are then you will. It tells you that you must ring the number given in the email to pay for your card.
The woman then tells you that you can order in store at any freestanding M.A.C store or in the Pro store in London, Soho. You can also order by phoning and ordering. *Note, anyone can do this*
Step 5
Wait 4-6 weeks and BAM there's your card and you are now ready to use it :)
Being a pro doesn't only entitle you to pro discounts on the products, but it opens up a whole new world online that normal people don't see. Perks are current trend charts, interviews, classes, forums and lots of other things!
