Vanity Lips

Sorry for not posting in a while, but since I went back to college and started my Final Major Project, I have just been in a head spin ever since trying to do ten things at once.

Today I did a lip make up look and photoshoot surrounding the idea of vanity, pride, the seven deadly sins and styles from the New Romantics of the 1980's.

Here's one of my final images.

I am rather pleased with the outcome, I abs love the models skin being purple. However it did stain her skin after I removed it. WHOOPS.

I love the lips and I love the almost fluid look of the bottom lip, I wanted to illustrate the thought that vanity is fluid and comes in many forms, not just the ones you see every day. 

I was also influenced by thought of people painting their faces with foundation, mascara, lipstick etc. So I painted my models face using a colour that is not naturally produced.
