I've never bought anything from NYX before until I planned a little list for IMATS. We arrived at the Olympia Venue at 8.30 and I pretty much headed straight to NYX to try and buy my friend Emily a lipgloss set (which they didn't bring).
I knew I wanted 4 lip pencils and a couple of blushers and jumbo eyepencils...
Jumbo Eye Pencils - £4.50/ $4.50
I bought two jumbo eye pencils in Milk and Sparkle Nude. I really wanted two colours that are universal shall we say, but their collection comes in 33 other super pigmented colours!
Overview and Application
Both of them went on pretty easy. The texture is creamy and easy to manipulate. Milk is a matte white pencil perfect for layering bright and vibrant colours on top of. The top row is of Milk and a sleek eyeshadow on top of Milk pencil, and the bottom right is the eyeshadow without milk underneath as a base.
Sparkle Nude is a lovely champagne nude, that looks amazing on its own! To make sure I set the pencil I used a similarly coloured eyeshadow! I demonstrated what the eyeshadow used ontop of sparkle nude would look like on its own.
Pigmentation
Milk is slighly more opaque than Sparkle Nude, however you don't need to use a huge amount of either of them. They apply amazing, blend amazing and look amazing! I would definitely purchase more colours.

Slim Lip Pencils - £3/ $3.50
I knew I wanted several of these babies, after reading they were dupes for MAC's lip pencils I knew I had to have some. I have some MAC lip pencils, but as much as I love them I always resent paying £14 for a single pencil where I can pick these up for £3 each, which means I can get 4 pencils for the price of one MAC Pencil. I will still continue on buying MAC lip pencils as I like some of the colours more than NYX's but these are definitely a must have in my kit.Hot Red - A lovely vibrant red, possibly not the brightest of reds, but would look perfect underneath lipsticks like Russian Red, Ruby Woo, RiRi Woo as well as Lime Crime's Red Velvet Velvetine Lipgloss. The application of this pencil is a no brainer and is perfect for that statement red lip!
Orange - A Spring/ Summer '13 must have! Will look perfect underneath lipsticks like MAC's Morange, Neon Orange, Ablaze and Illamasqua's Flare. This is possibly a dupe for MACs Ablaze Lip pencil.
Natural - I needed a nice nudey/ brown lip pencil and this is perfect! It is slightly darker than I'd hoped, but none the less it looks perfect underneath my Honey Love Lipstick! I love it.
Rose - After buying this pencil I was worried incase it was too similar to my MAC Hip N' Happy, but this is more of a corally peach colour. The pigmentation is fantastic!
I would definitely buy more of these babies and I have two in the mail coming my way :P!

Powder Blushers - £5.50/ $5
Taupe & Summer Peach
I bought two of these since I had never tried them before so I was aprehensive to see what they swatched like.
Overview and Application
I must say I prefer Summer Peach over Taupe as I think that summer peach has a more pigmented application, where as I feel like you need to build taupe.
I would describe taupe as being a satin blusher, where it has a bit of a pearly sheen to it, if this was a pure matte blusher I would say it would be perfect for contouring.
Summer Peach is a lovely peach colour with a tiny bit of gold reflecting glitter, perfect for the summer! The glitter is finely milled so it won't cause any grittyness on your faces! A blusher I would say that is similar but not the same as I would say this is definitely peachier and pinker would be NARS' Orgasm blusher.
I would buy more of these, but I think I would be more careful of what shades to pick.

Natural & Diva
These little gems are amazing! I ultimately wanted three shades however they didn't have two of the ones I wanted so I ended up getting Diva, which is a lovely Redy/ Rose shade. I colour I would say is similar to Diva is libido by illamasqua. Libido is alot redder though.
Overview and Application
A little goes a long way! These things are A. Super Pigmented B. Go on like an absolute dream and C. Can be intensified or sheered to create a flush of colour.
I just love these two shades! Natural is a gorgeous 'natural peach' colour and is just the perfect shade to add to a no make up make up look! Its super pigmented and you only need the tiniest amount to create a nice blush of colour.
Diva, I was unsure if it was wise buying this since I do have another red in my collection, however once sheered and blended this is a lovely rosey pink colour that is completely different to my other red cream blusher!

Out of the four types of products I purchased I would say I would buy the Jumbo Eye Pencils, Lip pencils and cream blushers without question!
However I think I would carefully select the powder blusher in future.
I plan to try out even more from NYX, as I believe they produce affordable professional make up!
