There's one thing I hate on a hot day like today and that's a sticky sweaty and just plain nasty face! Here's a few tips on how to produce a flawless base for you to start with on a hot and sweaty day!
In England we don't get many nice days, and when we do I HATE THEM! My face just puffs up and it's just no very nice. What I like to start my day off with is a nice cold wash, this cools the face down and reduces as much puffysness as possible. Now for the make up...
1. I start off using Simple Rich Moisturiser. My skin is combo and it's dry in areas. This moisturiser is just perfect to give me enough moisture through the day, and it's super cheap!
2. I then use Illamasqua's HYDRA VEIL, what this product is, is basically a moisturising primer! It cools the face as it's a light weight gel formula that just sinks into the skin and makes it feel wonderful without anything on top of it! Because it's very moisture rich it allows us to directly apply powder products over the top without looking powdery or making or skin too dry!
3. I don't want to be too covered in make up on a sunny day, so I generally opt for a lightweight powder foundation. Natural skinfinish isn't strictly a foundation but over the top of hydra veil it makes my skin look flawless with some added concealer in spotty/ red areas.
4. My final advice for a daily perfect base for a hot day is using Urban De Slick's spray. Honest to god it sets you make up and stops your face from getting nasty and oily through the day!
5. (optionals) Great you now have a base, so it's up to you what you do from now! I would advise you stay away from cream products as they will just melt and move on your face through the day. I would personally opt for a matte lipstick as this gives the ultimate staying power on your lips. Don't go over board with brows as they could melt off your face through the day and end up on your chin!
Just remember have fun on your sunny weekend day, play safe and remember to wear SPF!

DeleteUrban Decays sprays are amazing! I love them! They have three I think, the normal all nighter one, this one above and a cooling spray. So I'm guessing the cooling spray would work as well if not better!
Oh dear it has been torture today! I actually did my face to test my theory and I'm still sitting here all pretty and put together and I think I've had it on since around 1/2 pm :) xxx
